Favourite geocaches: London

Awarding our Geocaching favourite points: Where? Which? Why?

Sometimes we award favourite points for the memories attached to finding a cache, other times it’s for the creativity of the containers, and then there’s also the points for location…for taking us to a different place that we wouldn’t have otherwise known about. 🙂

A special mention has to be given to the fiendish puzzle caches which we award favourite points to for the time and effort that goes into putting them together – especially if there’s a great container at the end!!

Please let me know if there are any great caches that we should check out in your area as this list is by no means extensive – and we’re always up for a road trip!

The wonder of Waterhouse. – GC1NZWR by zarbi&zarbibird *Found on: 11/01/13*

Difficulty 3 – Terrain 2

Cache Type: Unknown (Puzzle/Mystery)

A fantastic cache placed with kind permission of the Natural History Museum. Everyone should visit the NHM at least once in their life, there’s so much to see and the great part about this cache is that you get the chance to read exhibitions that you might otherwise walk straight past. I certainly learnt a few things doing this cache and really enjoyed the choices of locations. I’d say it’s more of a multi-cache so don’t worry too much about it being a puzzle if puzzles aren’t your thing.

Just pick up a map in the foyer (for a small cost) and go! The cache is normally full of goodies too so be sure to pick up a Travel Bug or Geocoin to move on! :)
